That's doubtful. Some sellers look simply at a net saving. They may think that if they can sell their home privately then they could save £1500 in Estate agent fees', Sounds good? But then think, can they value their home accurately? Can they hope to market their home as efficiently as a reputable Agency who will not only work from client lists to identify a buyer, but will also cast the marketing net wide adequately to encourage viewings from potential buyers nationwide? Do they have the particular expertise to conduct the viewings and to sell the house to its full potential? When they find an interested party, could they really hope to get the best possible offer? In other words, are they genuinely qualified to do each of these jobs as well as a properly trained professional who does it every day? Probably not. For most people, selling property is the most important sale they’ll ever make and it can be a straightforward rewarding, easy experience if enlisting a specialist.
